  • Do not eat
  • Do not drink any alcoholic or sweet beverages
  • You can however drink water

The day of the test :

  • Do not eat breakfast
  • You can however drink water or coffee without sugar or milk.

When should I have my sample taken ?

The best time to take your sample is in the morning, before 10am. That’s why most of our laboratories are open from 6:30 am.
In emergencies or special cases, we are also open in the afternoons from 1pm to 6pm. You will find all our laboratory opening times in the “Our laboratories” section.

Some blood parameters measured in the laboratory change during the day. For this reason, you may be asked to have your blood sample taken in the morning, or to have your doctor note down one or more specific times of the day for the blood test to be taken. For certain specialized tests, you will need to make an appointment. Simply contact Laboratoire Ketterthill at 488 288-1.
