Created in 2005, the Laboratoire Luxembourgeois d'Immuno-Pathologie (LLIP) is focused on testing for and identifying antibodies as part of the diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune diseases, such as:

  • inflammatory diseases

  • organ-specific diseases (e.g. hepatitis)
  • neurological diseases

An internationally renowned centre of expertise

The laboratory receives nearly 120 samples per day from Luxembourg and other European countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, and Greece.

The team includes a phlebotomist and three specially trained technicians who are constantly working to improve their expertise in conducting and interpreting tests.
The LLIP has a blood sample library of more than 5,000 serum samples of different auto-immune diseases, which are used to verify the techniques.

“The LLIP tests
for more than
a hundred different
